About the Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive security / loss prevention professional to join the existing security department in a field based role.
This is a field based covering Rowlands Retail Pharmacies in the North / Mid Wales, Midlands and Liverpool areas and the Phoenix Depots in Wrexham, Salford and Telford.
Who we Want:
It is essential you have previous experience in providing security services and asset protection in a retail / supply chain environment. Sound knowledge of security systems including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and EPOS is essential. In addition, previous experience conducting audits / risk assessments is required. You must be a confident communicator, both verbally and written, and possess excellent organisational and planning skills along with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence effectively.
Your role and responsibilities:
As a Security professional, you will be expected to;
- Conduct Physical / remote Security audits and risk assessments
- Interrogate electronic Physical Security systems (Net 2, Avigilon)
- Maintain and update security asset and equipment registers / inventories
- Maintain effective liaison with key stake holders, site managers and security service providers
- Train small groups in matters of security
- Advise on personnel security matters
- Carry out thorough investigations into all breaches of security, cash discrepancies, stock losses and collate evidence in a professional and concise manner
- Attend and give evidence in courts, industrial tribunals as required
- Ensure Company Policy and Internal Security Standards are applied consistently and robustly across the business
- Provide emergency advice / supportacross the estate

Key Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
Key Experience Essential:
Previous experience interrogating security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, EPOS etc)
Previous experience conducting audits / risk assessments
Previous experience collating evidence and conducting investigation meetings
Key Experience Desirable:
Policy / SOP writing
Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical retail and / or wholesale sector
Previous experience in identifying improvements to security systems - alarms, CCTV etc.
Knowledge Essential:
Administrator Level knowledge of security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control)
Knowledge Desirable:
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, retail and / or wholesale industry
Demonstrable loss prevention exposure in a distribution environment
Skills Essential:
Strong interpersonal / teamwork skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well organised and excellent time management skills
Experience of decision making and problem solving
Computer literate- MS Excel, Word/ PowerPoint and Outlook
System literate – Analogue and IP based CCTV, Paxton
Skills Desirable:
Ex-forces/emergency services
Qualifications Essential:
Relevant qualification in loss prevention, security management or equivalent
Minimum 5 GSCE’s or equivalent including Maths & English
Full UK Drivers licence
Qualifications Desirable:
Security Risk Management or similar

The requirements of the role requires that you have a flexible approach to your working hours, accommodating occasional unsociable hours including overnight stays and weekends.
You must be flexible and be able to work and travel as and when required by the business throughout the United Kingdom, including some overnight stays. A full driving license is essential.
