Business Development Analyst - Maternity Cover

About The Opportunity: We now have an exciting Maternity Cover opportunity for a Business Development Analyst. Reporting into the Group Commercial Pricing manager, you will be responsible for the gathering business intelligence in the analysis and support for deals and schemes, supporting business development, supplier account management, project/program management & support, and commercialization of restriction systems.

Responsibilities –

Monitor competitor activity/discounts, report impact and provide recommendations on downstream discounts to maximise membership & profitability

Produce and maintain a series of monthly reports to analyse member Commercial Deals.  Manage and maintain the deal database.

Investigate current and future pricing of brand equalisation deals and communicate the relevant actions and activities to the relevant owner

Engage with commercial and business development teams to analyse business opportunities for growth and also provide support in scenario planning for income streams

Develop and maintain a system of member and sales tools to assist sales growth

Support the delivery of commercial activities as deemed necessary to support the development & growth of current & future income streams

Use Business Intelligence findings to identify supplier opportunities and develop and support supplier relationships

Responsible for member communication of deals, arrangements and new agreements including preference management

Manage member opt in deals

 

Who we want

You will be an excellent communicator and, confident in analysing data to develop sales

You will be self-motivated with project management skills, and attention to detail

You will have previous office based experience of working in an administration function, preferably in purchasing, analysis or some form of commercial background

Knowledge of community pharmacy, pricing of medicines/drugs in the UK market would be preferable and a knowledge of pharmacy IT systems would be advantageous

Experience of working with SAP and/or CSD accounting package and reconcile software would be advantageous but full training will be given

 

Qualifications

Minimum 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English

A Degree in an appropriate subject would be desirable

Competent in Microsoft Office suit with a basic working knowledge of Excel and Outlook
