Are you an experienced Employee Relations Advisor (ER) or HR Advisor?

Phoenix Medical Supplies are seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ER Advisor. Reporting into the ER Manager, this role will play a crucial part in supporting managers with ER matters across the business.  As an experienced ER Advisor, you will also bring effective employee relations and employment law knowledge enabling you to support managers to provide first class ER Advice, guidance and case work support.

What we need you to help us with:

  • Support, upskill and coach managers to provide employee relations advice and guidance.
  • Operate a triage process for the effective and timely handling and escalation of employment matters
  • Case management on a range of ER issues including, Disciplinary, Grievance, Investigation, Short and Long Term absence, advising managers on appropriate actions
  •  Collaborate and assist the Transactional HR team providing a triage approach and appropriate support
  • Coach / mentor managers and drive a culture of empowerment and accountability in line management of employees.
  • Work collaboratively with our HR BP team ensuring a fluid and consistent service and comprehensive and enabling support to the business requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service.
  • Work effectively as a team member to support the overall team development.
  • Deliver short sessions where necessary to improve understanding of the service to the wider management community.
  • Champion the use of the Service in order to accurately record and monitor all ER activity for wider data collection.
  • Support and coordinate on HR projects where required working closely with the Transactional HR team

We are looking for someone who has a passion for people and wants to make a difference.  You must be able to;

  • build effective relationships with professionals at all levels; 
  • excellent communication and coaching skills, and
  • an ability to positively challenge and influence.

Whilst a CIPD qualification is desirable, previous experience of dealing with complex ER cases and excellent employment law knowledge is essential for this role.
