Depot Regional Learning and Development Lead

Base location – Birmingham, Runcorn or St Albans with nationwide coverage and travel to be expected

About The Opportunity: As a pivitol part of the HR Excellence team this is an opportunity to work across the distribution centre function consisting of 14 depots, to ensure that the training developed meets the needs of each depot and is aligned with the goals of the business.

Who We Want:

Our ideal candidate will be an experience training manager with experience of working with key stakeholders to support and enable strategic business initiatives and proven previous experience of working and leading within a distribution, logistics or manufacturing environment.

You are able to remotely manage and influence with strong leadership skills with experience of coaching and mentoring front line colleagues in a busy operational environment

Experience in Six Sigma or Lean management introduction would be advantageous, as would knowledge of converting Standard Operating Procedures / Work Instructions into training materials

You will have up to date Knowledge of the new apprenticeship standards

Our ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified at member level, you will have excellent oral and written skills to deliver effective training to a broad audience of colleagues. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Be highly motivated and committed to maintain and support our continuous improvement warehouse processes. You will also be a team player with a proactive and engaged attitude.

The hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 9am till 5.15pm (45mins unpaid break). A full driving license is essential for the role.

Ordinarily, our team is based within our Head Office in either Birmingham or Runcorn but in light of the ongoing pandemic the team is working on a remote basis, with interviews potentially being held remotely also.
