As a Europe-wide wholesale and retail company we do that in many ways, with over 400 community pharmacies, 13 nationwide distribution depots and over 6,000 employees. Supporting longer, healthier and happier lives is at the heart of the service that we deliver to our communities and something that we are really proud of.

About the Role:

We currently have exciting opportunities for two 12 month fixed term Regional HR Advisors to cover colleagues who will be on Maternity leave.  Both roles are field based with opportunities to work from home, and occasional travel required into our Runcorn office.  Ideally, candidates will be based or able to cover Wales & the North West or the Midlands.

Reporting into the HR Business Partner, these roles will play a crucial part in delivering key projects and driving continuous improvement in all our colleague process and engagement initiatives.  As an experienced HR Advisor, you will also bring a wealth of employee relations and employment law knowledge enabling you to partner with leaders across the business to provide ER Advice and guidance.

What we need you to help us with:

  • Partner with managers to provide employee relations advice and guidance. For more complex cases attendance and support at meetings, hearings, appeals and preparing case work
  • Case management of short and long term absence, advising managers on appropriate actions to mitigate lost time and cost while also supporting our colleagues
  • Support our business engagement strategy by driving and implementing business wide and local engagement action plans
  • Lead on key HR projects and initiatives which support the wider business goals and ambitions
  • Coach and up-skill managers and drive a culture of empowerment and accountability
  • Work collaboratively with our L&D colleagues to provide SME input on ER related training and deliver training across our estate to enhance manager and leader capabilities

We are looking for someone who has a passion for people and wants to make a difference.  You must be able to work independently, take a hands on approach and build effective relationships with professionals at all levels.  You’ll need excellent communication and coaching skills, and an ability to positively challenge and influence.

You must be CIPD qualified or equivalent, with previous experience of dealing with complex ER cases and excellent employment law knowledge. With a track record of acting as a trusted people advisor in a fast paced commercial environment.
