Operations Manager (back shift) – Wakefield

 Previous leadership experience in a regulated environment is required for this role.

 Permanent contract with full time hours in the afternoons/early evening.

 We have a truly exciting opportunity to come and work at our soon to opened, purpose built, brand new depot in Wakefield.

Whilst the depot is being built we will offer you a very comprehensive Induction and Training plan that will last about 6 months and will take place in one of our other depots. Recruiting you early enables you the opportunity to be part of recruiting your team members.

The Role – Operations Manager (Backshift)

About the Opportunity:  As Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing a variety of colleagues, influencing stakeholders , ensuring service and performance levels are achieved and that the highest quality standards are maintained at all times.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant regulatory and legal requirements are fulfilled.

As Operations Manager you will lead on a multitude of depot initiatives by effectively managing the processes, ensuring service and performance levels are achieved within defined financial and operational objectives.

In this role you will ensure effective team and company communications are cascaded within your location, effectively encouraging involvement and positive commitment throughout the depot. Effective interfaces with the broader Warehouse Team, PHOENIX supply chain and commercial functions will be critical to develop and assist in leading vision and value initiatives.

Who do we want?

We invite applications from dynamic leaders who display strong written and verbal communication skills, can lead large teams, manage their own workload, meeting and exceeding targets and KPIs.

Previous experience of working within a Lean Methodology/Six Sigma environment would be an advantage, as would working within a highly regulated industry.

 

Reporting to the Depot Manager you will be responsible for the depot achieving its key performance indicator targets in line with business objectives and budgets.
