The Opportunity

PharmAssist are a small, established, and successful software company based on the outskirts of Leeds, and we're on a mission to become the best in our field. We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of pharmacy management software.

About Us

Over the past decade, pharmacy profit margins have faced increasing challenges, intensified by recent changes in pharmacy funding. PharmAssist, an integrated ordering software platform compatible with major Patient Medical Record (PMR) providers, ensures profitability and compliance in pharmacy purchasing. Independent pharmacies, using our software, are therefore able to overcome these hurdles by operating efficiently whilst enhancing compliance. Orders passing through the software adhere to specific customer-set rules, securing the best prices and directing orders to preferred suppliers at preferred times.

What You'll Do

  • Drive requirements analysis and task estimation
  • Craft robust apps: code, secure, and integrate
  • Design slick UIs and demo for feedback
  • Master .NET stack: C#, .NET Core, Blazor
  • Document thoroughly, from code to user guides
  • Test rigorously: unit, integration, and debugging
  • Provide top-notch tech support
  • Stay cutting-edge in .NET ecosystem

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience as a .NET developer
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, and other .NET technologies
  • Experience with MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework
  • Strong skills in Git and Visual Studio
  • Expertise in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging
  • A knack for software design principles, patterns, and architectures
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment

The Ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience with Azure App Service or IIS
  • Knowledge of legacy technologies (e.g., classic ASP)
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Some VB.Net experience

What We Offer

  • £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on skills and experience
  • Discretionary hybrid working (initially full-time office-based)
  • Generous holiday allowance:
    • 22 days, pro-rata, annual leave + 8 bank holidays
    • Increases to 30 days with length of service
  • Market leading employee discount programme across hundreds of retailers and services
  • Access to MediCash, allowing you to reclaim money on a wide range of medical services
  • Cutting edge finance management app to control your salary as you see fit
  • Annual Christmas bonus
