Depot Manager – St Albans

37.5 hours per week - Permanent Contract

Bonus structure, company car, plus single coverage healthcare

The Role – Depot Manager  

Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Operations you will be responsible for the depot achieving its key performance indicator targets in line with business objectives and budgets.

You will ensure that we consistently exceed our customer’s expectations and operational standards in line with ISO and GDP guidelines.

Pulling on your experience of developing and maintaining a culture that is both commercially orientated and susceptible to change you will lead, motivate and empower colleagues (up to 150 FTE including Drivers) through effective and open communication, excellent leadership and regular performance feedback.

 

Who we want:

We invite applicants who have experience in operating a medium/large warehouse, with an excellent understanding of automated processes. Its vitally important you can read, analyse, understand and report on all related operational statistics with a view to implement changes to increase performance where required.

You must be from a fast paced depot operations environment, be able to demonstrate strong people leadership skills and achievement of KPIs from a line management role.  You will ideally already have experience within a FMCG environment or experience within the pharmaceutical wholesale sector.

You will have experience of working in adherence with standard operating procedures and health and safety legislation along with an understanding of guidelines governed by external bodies.

Focused on results you will be adaptable, positively minded and be an excellent relationship builder with the ability to think outside the box.
