The Nupharm business is responsible for the sourcing of branded medicines across Europe. 

You will play a key role in this important part of our business, ensuring the products purchased are of the highest quality and the most competitive price for our customers and the NHS. Building strong relationships with suppliers is key to this role.  

 

Who are we looking for? 

We are currently seeking a motivated buyer to join our dynamic team and grow alongside us. As a Parallel Import (PI) Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting, maintaining, and growing our portfolio of products with our key stakeholders. 

This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong buying and trading experience and have a strong desire to progress in a growing organisation. You will be driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment always seeking the best margins and new business opportunities. You will be a confident and engaging communicator able to work independently and as part of a team. 

 

 

About the role:  

As a PI Buyer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare: 

 

  • Dynamic Supplier Relations: Manage and support relationships with suppliers through various communication channels, including face-to-face meetings and site visits. 
  • Strategic Negotiation: Negotiating and purchase from approved suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and stock criteria are met. 
  • Research and Development: Actively seek out and research new products, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams. 
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to current procedures, with a focus on system housekeeping and administrative excellence. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to resolve stock queries, manage missed sales, and support site-specific requirements. 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

In joining our team, you'll bring a rich skill set and unique experiences. Advanced skills in Excel are crucial for managing complex data and reports effectively. A degree in a relevant discipline, while desirable, is complemented by your practical experience in purchasing and supplier management. Your understanding of community pharmacy operations will be a distinct advantage. Exceptional communication skills are vital for your role, enabling effective negotiation and relationship management. You'll demonstrate a strong ability to plan, organize, and work within tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and precision in every task.
