Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the MacMillan Cancer Centre branch. As a Pharmacy Technician in one of Rowlands hospital branches you will be given extensive and specialist training as well as gaining exposure to the hospital pharmacy environment.

 Key Responsibilities   

  • Deliver courteous and effective customer service
  • Carry out all dispensing activities under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Develop positive working relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Assist in the development of other staff members where appropriate
  • Deliver appropriate healthcare advice and signpost where necessary
  • Ensure that all Essential/Enhanced/Advanced Services are successfully promoted and carried out in accordance with Company SOP’s
  • Assist and participate in healthy living events where necessary
  • Assist in the sale of medicines and other merchandise when required
  • In the absence of a manager, take on additional responsibilities as a registered professional
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dispensary
  • Perform date checking and cleaning in accordance with company SOP’s and ensure adequate records are maintained
  • Receive, store, maintain, and issue stock in accordance with Company SOP’s
  • Follow shrinkage procedures and use DSRS where appropriate

 What We Require  

  • NVQ level 3 – Pharmacy Technician
  • GPhC registration
  • Up-to-date knowledge of all statutory regulations
  • Ability to accurately handle medicines
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative
  • Ability to work to deadlines
