About Phoenix Data, Analytics and Insight Team:

This is a transformative and exciting time to be part of the Phoenix Data, Analytics & Insight (DA&I) team. We are embarking on a bold journey to reimagine how data is used across the business — from laying strong modern data foundations to unlocking powerful insights and shaping AI-driven innovations that will help to support our ambitious growth plans.

We’re building a high-performing, forward-thinking team with a fresh structure, modern cloud-based technologies like Microsoft Fabric, and a clear focus on delivering business impact. Whether you’re passionate about data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or automation, you’ll be joining a team where your ideas will shape the future of healthcare logistics and pharmacy services in the UK.

You’ll be empowered to make a real difference, working on meaningful projects that improve decision-making, drive efficiency, and help our colleagues and customers thrive.

About the Role:

  • As BI Developer, you will deliver robust and sustainable Power BI solutions to stakeholders across the business, focusing on tools that support commercial and operational objectives.
  • You will collaborate with various teams to design, develop, roll out, and support Power BI solutions, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and perform as expected.
  • You will also support stakeholders in adopting Power BI and identify new opportunities to add value through data insights.
  • Additionally, you will explore the use of how the Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate) can be used to deliver data products to the business, and to automate existing manual processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated, visually compelling dashboards that deliver actionable insights across the organisation.
  • Use advanced data visualisation techniques to communicate analysis clearly and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing reporting through Power BI, implementing strong BI development processes including peer review, testing, and controlled release.
  • Develop business domain semantic models that provide stakeholders with self-service capability.
  • Collaborate with the wider Data, Analytics & Insight team and business stakeholders to ensure data is well-defined, structured, and accessible for self-service reporting and semantic model use.
  • Champion best practices in reporting and analysis—ensuring data integrity, rigorous testing, clear documentation, and consistently high standards.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for metrics, KPIs, and reporting needs.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of business reporting, from design and development to ongoing maintenance, ensuring consistent delivery of key insights.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in building and maintaining reliable, scalable Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models, with deep expertise in Power BI and strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling and data warehouse principles, with preferred hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Excellent data visualisation skills, with the ability to distil complex data into clear, engaging, and actionable insights for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to create efficient and powerful DAX measures and calculated columns for complex analytics.
  • Familiarity with integrating Power BI development with source control tools like Git.
  • Ability to understand business processes, KPIs, and translate requirements into meaningful dashboards and insights.
