Lead Technician
Wakefield
37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8hours a day.

£45,259.50 per annum
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Technician to come join us, based at our Wakefield Depot. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, your overall responsibility will be lead a multi-skilled team of technicians, plan and schedule maintenance activities, liaise with and supervise external contractors, review and update daily/weekly/monthly reports. The role may offer opportunities for technical and leadership training, along with supporting the national team.
The heart of the role
- Scheduling maintenance for Automation and Facility systems
- Supervision of external contractors on site
- Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to key stakeholders
What makes you tick
- Minimum recognised Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
- Proven experience managing a maintenance department.
- Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
- Experience fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Desirable qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH.
